Carrie needs to go incognito

Today when Carrie, Mary and I went to the grocery store, the checkout lady told Carrie to take Mary over to the balloon place and get a balloon. I stayed to finish up loading the groceries when the lady said, "Is she okay? I didn't want to say anything to her about her eye, but you must know there are people who can help her, people who want to help" I told her she got the shiner in a church basketball game but I don't think she believed me because she said again that she knew people who could help her. We'll have to wear sunglasses from now on I guess.

Church ball hasn't changed in all these years. The ref didn't even call a foul on the play. One of her teammates broke her finger and another face planted and skidded across the floor. These are grown women mind you. They did make a shot with 2 seconds to go to win by one to finish the season undefeated and to take the stake championship!

Texas Roundup 10K

Daddy, Carrie and I in front of the Texas capitol before we began the Texas roundup race. Carrie is sporting her shiner from her basketball game last night. We got matching shirts and shoes also but I forgot to wear them. We are having so much fun in Texas with Carrie and Cory and darling Mary, but we miss the rest of you.
