These are pictures of our Office Couple's family. They baptized one of their children in the gulf. Nothing new for Will's family:) but it sure would be fun if this could happen with one of ours.

Some of what I am missing.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

This is a picture taken at the Lakeland ZDM. It was their last meeting before the transfer. Our dear Elder Bytendorp shared this picture since my camera is batteryless.

Pictures from our temple trip. We take the missionaries going home to the temple on their last day. The temple is in Orlando so I thought you might enjoy the unique light posts there. This is a tradition that we may have to eliminate.

A picture and some thoughts

I was pondering my life before earth and was thinking that perhaps we had a 'going to earth prep class' taught by our Heavenly Father. What would the lesson content be? Probably we would be taught that we had a loving Heavenly Father who had a plan for us. We would have been taught about the creation and Adam and Eve and agency and the purpose of life, repentance, Atonement the commandments etc. Then I was thinking we could write a book, "Everything I know, I learned in Nursery" What do our little ones learn there? They have a loving Heavenly Father, He created the earth, He had a plan for them etc. His plan is so beautiful. We are taught on our present level from our pre earth life, nursery, primary, mutual, as missionaries and parents etc. Every level the same things: we have a loving Heavenly Father, He has a plan for us, etc, If we could become as little children and remember the lessons we learn in nursery and then at our parents feet and then as parents we teach the same lessons again. I truly 'stand all amazed!'
In the picture: Sister Mott, (our right hand and our left), me, Sister McDonald (a Spanish sister, Sister Platt, (a CES missionary), Sister Lopez (another Spanish sister in her first transfer), and Sister Chambers, (also our right hand and our left). I do kind of look like a canary. But a happy one at that.

Here is a warning sign that I have never seen in Utah

Fire Ant

This is my fire ant bite. It looked like this for 2 weeks. I got it when I walked across the grass at night after we had been to interview some Elders. I still have a scar.

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

We have the famous Elder Fangupo here with a flower but he soon began to jump around. The flower had ants in it. LOL Last week he was riding his bike and was hit by a car. He was fine but the car was banged up. Good thing he wasn't hurt as he is a Ute football player.
For Leadership training, our Assistant dressed up as a homeless elder- he lost everything because he couldn't get up in the morning

We have had an elf stealing candy in the office, but Elder Mott found the culprit.
The office missionaries were all in ont itl

Missionary Antics

Yesterday Elder Escobar and Elder Call were out "tracting". A man at the door was extremely mad that they had come by and was threatening to KILL Elder Escobar. Being nervous they kept backing up as they tried to leave... all the time he was screaming at them. The man reached out and grabbed Elder Escobar's name tag off his shirt and then stormed into the house. Elder Escobar called me to let us know of his adventure, and he was very relieved to be alive! The funny thing is Elder Escobar is 6 foot 9 and his companion is 5 ftoot 8. Elder Escobar has only been here for 4 1'2 weeks.

Elder Fangupo got hit by a car while on his bike! His foot is all that's hurt. Our Utah football player has been prone to accidents since he has been here.

Our four Elders in Immokalee have had the water shut off in their house for two days now. We have no idea why and Elder Mott can't get anything done about it until tomorrow! AS if bed bugs was not enough.
