Is that really Grandpa?

The kids would not believe that this is Grandpa if they didn't see with their own eyes. When we came on our mission, he had barely learned how to turn on the computer, but look at him now!!

The Elders who walked the dog and some who returned home taking pictures of their temple trip. It will take some time but I will get this figured our LOL
thought I would share some stories from our Elders. One companionship was tracting around their apartment complex and having moderate success, when they knocked on the door of a lady named Elizabeth. Her initial reaction was similar to many others they had recieved as she explained that she appreciated their work, but she wasn't interested.. they then asked her if there was anything that they could do for her and she responded, "not unless you want to walk my dog for me." She was a little taken aback as they asked, "Is 6:30 in the morning too early for you?" To make a short story even shorter, they ran with her dog, Mike for about 2 weeks, every morning. One day as they were bringing Mike back home, Elizabeth said the words they had only hoped she would say. "You know I was thinking that one of these days I might like to have you guys over to tell me a litle bit more about your church." Two days later they had taught her the first lesson and committed her to baptism. a few days ofter that, she had a church tour, came to all three hours of church on Sunday, and has a date to be baptized on the 28th of August. All from a simple act of service and a hyperactive boxer named Mike.

Graduations

I had 4 graduations this week and one more next week. There are 2 preschoolers, 2 highschoolers and one graduate school. It runs the whole gamut and of course, I didn't have a camera. I am proud of them all, though.

Dancing Recitals

Being home more has allowed us to relish our beautiful grandchildren's accomplishments. We have been to soccer games, teeball, baseball and dance recitals. Annie and Livie were just fabulous in their dance recital and they stood out from all of the others on the stage. They are very talented. I wish that I had pictures, but I am sure you believe me. This picture is of Sue and Lily. It was especially fun to see mother and daughter. This week I still have piano ahead of me. I am so blessed. It is fun being the granny cuz you can brag more than you can as a parent:)
