This is our beautiful and tender Sister Lai. Her parents came to pick her up and to take her back home to Canada. She has served as diligently and as faithfully as any missionary we have. A funny story. Her parents sat at a different dinner table than ours and her father kept telling golf stories and was excited to speak with President about golf. All of a sudden it dawned on the other returning missionaries "oh yea, he did used to golf before his mission" It is good that they see him as their Mission President and not as a golfer as he cheerfully left that life behind him and is serving with all of his heart, might, mind and strength as a missionary.
These are our wonderful new missionaries who arrived on Monday, January 16. They are eager to work hard and to be obedient. We know they will be a blessing for all of us.
Elder Palmer brought his companion over for an interview. While he waited be became good friends with our dear French Elder Euvrard
This is Sister O'Neal with Elder and Sister Knight. She returns after serving valiantly for 18 months
When each new group of missionaries arrive, they discuss the burying of weapons of war by the Anti Nephi Lehis and then each covenant to bury something deep in the earth that may be holding them back. It could also be a covenant of something they will do while they are serving.
