Elder Johnson and Elder Zylstra
Elder Johnson trained Elder Zylstra. Now they serve together as our Assistants. So when they served together last time they had a member visit Sunday as they weren't supposed to go to members in the week. Thus they had 4 member visits scheduled that day. They went with the Spanish Elders as the ward at that time had both. They started with a family from Honduras who had a delicious dinner for them. They then went to another family who had a delicious dinner for them. They were getting pretty full. Then they went to another family who had prepared steak for them. They were about to pop! As they went to the 4th home they were thinking they were going to cry if there was food prepared.--THere was food. As they sat down to eat, one of the Spanish Elders started to barf at the table. He covered his mouth with his napkin and ran to the bathroom. THe other elders said he was sneezing. He came back and said Elder Johnson has a headache and we need to go soon. THe host said, no problem I have some aleve. Elder Johnson took the Aleve and they ate again and left. As they left the home, Elder Zylstra starts to throw up in the neighbors driveway just as the neighbor drives up. They hurried and took off their badges so they wouldn't know they were missionaries and one of the Elders got a hose and hosed off the driveway. Elder Zylstra was covered in throw up. They drove home in the stinky car so he could clean up and change. Elder Johnson looked in the mirroir and cried, "Oh No! I forgot I am allergic to alleve. The progressive photos of his experience are below and his last thought was all this for a headache I didn't have. Thought you might enjoy this kind of missionary story LOL

Copied from the Motts blog
Elder Cowley is going home in May. About 5 weeks ago he became very vocal about his 3 months to sexy diet. He was refusing all treats, eating nothing but salad and working out every morning without fail. The last time he bragged about it he had lost 9 lbs (he has gained 40 on his mission). Last night during dinner Sister Mott looked over and saw Elder Cowley with a bowl of ice cream sitting on his chest and a mouth full of cookies. She turned to Elder Mott and whispered, "Does this mean Elder Cowley is off his diet?" Well, it took seconds for Elder Mott to make everyone aware and then the laughter began. He defended himself by explaining that he's decided to "settle for less" and shoot for husky instead of sexy!
(We just love these kids!)

And finally, Monday was President Summerhay's birthday. The APs were so excited that they bought him a cake from Dairy Queen and it had BYU on it. They ate it Monday night, but when we got to the Mission Home on Tuesday night they had saved a piece just for Elder Mott to eat.

Elder Madsen
I am going to try to repost the video of Elder Madsen singing a scripture. He knows over 300 of them. He was home schooled and they made them up. At home his brother plays the piano for them. Hopefully this works

Lake Placid is known as the City of Murals. These are some of the murals we saw while visiting.
