South Interviews

Interviews are President's favorite thing to do. They are very taxing on him and physically impossible yet the spirit bears him up and even energizes him. This is spiritual energy is a blessing we all can receive. We left Tampa on Monday to drive to Ft. Myers. We dropped a missionary off in Port Charlotte and arrived at our hotel at 12 Midnight. The location for interviews was changed to Naples in order to save the missionary miles, so we were up at 6 AM and on our way south for the Ft. Myers South zone interviews. After interviewing all day, we had to rush up to Ft. Myers so he could go to Stake Correlation meeting. No time for dinner, but we managed a quick snack. Once again on Tuesday night we got to bed very late and were up again at 6 in order to prepare for the Ft. Myers North Zone interviews. We left late that afternoon to drive to Bradenton for another Stake Correlation meeting. After the meeting we drove to our hotel in Sarasota and again were in bed at midnight. Up again Wednesday morning for Bradenton North and South Zone interviews. These lasted until 9 PM. We were fortunate to find a Moe's open so we grabbed a quick bite and started the long drive to Winter Haven. In bed at midnight, up again at 6 to go to the Winter Haven building for the Lakeland interviews. Next week we do it again. I include these details to show the tender mercies of our Lord, and truly the enabling power and grace that allows and "old Man" to keep this schedule. He is driven by his love of the Lord and of his missionaries. And really, interviews are his favorite thing to do.
